Is it beneficial, or will it create problems to, once I’m done modeling a static mesh, slide edges into other edges, reducing face and vertex count, but creating triangles by doing so? In engine is my main question, but also if anyone knows, in substance painter as well?
First Pic has 16 more faces than second, but has 8 triangles.
It also has 4 n-gons I just realized, that wouldn’t be an issue on the actual models I’m working on. Hypothetically though, should I fix those, making them triangles as well, or leave them?
