Quadro RTX 4000 - terrible performance

Does anyone know if the Quadro RTX 4000 GPU is actually supported in Unreal Engine 5? All versions of 5 have this problem (Unreal engine 4.7 runs very well).

This is a high-end graphics card, but it performs as if it has no 3D acceleration whatsover. Does anyone know if there is a known issue with these cards or if there is a workaround in the UE settings or a special configuration file I could adjust?

I have had this problem for months and I have tried all the latest GPU drivers (I’m using Win11, i9-13900k, 128GB ram, SSDs).

Even basic unreal engine scenes lag badly.

An Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 runs many many times faster and renders the 3D scenes cleanly (unlike the Quadro which renders a laggy, bad quality image with blurred textures.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

tl;dr: because it’s a weak(er) GPU?

I’d expect the Quadro RTX 4000 to be slower than a 3060. Double check whether the card is sitting and working in PCIx16 slot first, though.

It’s probably directly related to Lumen and Virtual Shadow Maps (switch them off to get most of the UE4 v4.27 perf). And to clarify, hope we’re not confusing RTX Quadro 4000 8GB Turing from 2018 with a much more powerful A4000 from 2021.

Even though the card can RTX, I would not expect much from the 36 RT cores from 2018 when what we consider modern ray tracing was in its infancy.

On a side note:

i9-13900k, 128GB ram, SSDs + Quadro RTX 4000

Why?
