Publishing and Featuring the Island in Discovery in a Private State

Is it possible to submit the project for public review in a private state, update the thumbnail and other details, and then change the status to public without any issues for the initial feature in Discovery?

Hey @yuyu56406

Apologies if I’m misunderstanding your question!

When you publish you have these two options:

Listed: It will appear in Discovery, and will be searchable by island code, island title, or creator
Unlisted: It will NOT appear in Discovery, and is only accessible by the island code (not the title or creator)

Additionally, you have the option to leave it in an unpublished state.

Let me know if this answered your question!

Thank you for your response!
I believe that after publishing, it will appear in the discovery section under categories like “new”. However, will this opportunity still be retained if it is set to Unlisted?

@yuyu56406

Oh, gotcha!

I can’t be certain, but that would be a logical assumption. Unlisted is kind of like an unreleased version you can only find through the island code, so my guess is yes- you would be eligible for your island to appear in “new and renewed” tab in Fortnite when set to Listed for the first time regardless of if it was Unlisted.
