Proposal: New Secure Limited-Time Account Merge System

Hello,

I would like to respectfully propose the consideration of a new, modernized account merge system, implemented as a limited-time event and built around current security standards.

This would not be a return of the original merge feature that existed years ago (which was created for a specific historical situation), but rather a completely redesigned and security-focused version adapted to today’s infrastructure.

If something like this were ever considered, possible security measures could include:

Mandatory 2FA enabled on both accounts

Verified long-term ownership of both accounts

Location and IP history review to confirm consistent usage patterns

Review of recent security changes before approval

In-game and email notifications when a merge request is initiated

A mandatory processing period (for example, 14 days or more) before completion

Ability to cancel during the waiting period if unauthorized activity is detected

Strict one-time-only merge per account (accounts that merge cannot merge again)

Any additional security requirements the team considers necessary

The notification and waiting-period system would be especially important. If a third party attempted to initiate a merge fraudulently, the original owner would receive alerts and have time to contact Epic Games before the process is finalized.

Many long-term players have legitimate accounts that became split years ago due to lost access and later recovery through official support. A secure, controlled, one-time merge event could help resolve these situations without reintroducing past vulnerabilities.

Although this is not directly a UEFN tool request, it relates to the broader Fortnite ecosystem and long-term player engagement.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
