Proposal: Enable Chaos Vehicle System in UEFN

Dear Epic Team,

The Chaos Vehicle System already exists in Unreal Engine, but it is currently unavailable in UEFN. This limits creators to approximate vehicle simulations using Verse and SceneGraph, preventing the development of immersive, high-quality driving experiences.

We propose enabling Chaos Vehicle in a controlled “Vehicle Mode”, with the following constraints to ensure stability and cross-platform performance:

  • Small maps and limited player counts (e.g., 4–8)

  • Secure Verse wrapper: controlled access to vehicle parameters (torque, suspension, handbrake, etc.)

  • Soft network synchronization: client-side simulation with light server corrections

  • Mobile fallback: simplified physics and reduced substeps for low-end devices

  • Templates & guides for creators to implement vehicles and drift/racing modes quickly

Benefits for Epic:

  • Monetization potential: vehicle-based games drive cosmetic and premium item purchases, especially with the upcoming Device Verse payment system.

  • Player engagement & retention: racing and drift modes encourage long sessions and repeated play.

  • Low R&D & infrastructure cost: Chaos Vehicle already exists; client-authoritative simulation minimizes server load.

  • Strategic growth: adds a new content pillar to UEFN — racing, drifting, delivery missions, and competitive events.

We are happy to prototype a “Chaos Vehicle Lite Mode” with limited players and maps to demonstrate feasibility and economic potential, providing Epic with a low-risk, high-reward path to unlock vehicle gameplay in UEFN.

Best regards,

31Asha, UEFN Creator,
