Projectile Movement -- Bouncing Ball

Hi. First week of UE4 and loving it so far! Though today, I’ve been pulling out my hair over a simple bouncing ball via projectile movement.

Could someone link to me an updated article/video/thread/etc of how to create a projectile movement bouncing ball please?

fyi: I’ve followed 2 different video’s using 2 slightly different methods.
Theirs for some reason bounce with the exact settings, while mine go straight through box brushes and even preset floors.
This is why I believe the ones I’m looking at are outdated.

I spent a few more hours today looking around for a solution, and finally found one.

The issue was using DefaultSceneRoot and not updating its components in the ConstructionScript to have its own collision component. :rolleyes:

Necro but it’s still very relevant in 4.24. I just ran into this…Why is this so weird? Replacing the scene component with a collision sphere is the only way this works…

Its not that wierd, you end up doing this a lot even for animating clothing properly…
