No this one is 2d only. But 3d stages are supported.

Since this is going to be Open Source will you be using GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket?

I am extremely excited to see how much work and dedication will cause this project to be a huge success. Also will this game be compatible with OS X and Linux?

Thanks for your kind words. I will not be using any of those. It will have versions every time I add/remove/fix something just like Unreal 4 itself do. I will have my own forum as well so you will always a download link. :slight_smile:

I believe Github and such would be hard or scary for newcomers or non-programmers so, I believe this is better.

Not using version control seems like a huge mistake to me. Anyone who is going to be using Unreal Engine 4 should have or be able to gain a basic knowledge of version control. I have taught many non-programmers to use git, and most people pick it up very quickly because it is so simple. UE4 does have releases, but it also uses Git to share its source, even going so far as to give each release its own branch. So you can go and pull down the final version of 4.20 from github right now if you wanted to. Not using version control software for version control is re-solving a problem that has been solved several times in great ways. Please do not do the equivalent of writing your own DateTime class.

Half a year passed and we finally have Arcade Mode with us. I hope you enjoy watching it. Tried to showcase it as best as I could. :slight_smile:

Here are the important features;

  • You can have more than one Arcade Mode with each of them having unique properties.
  • Each Arcade Mode can have it’s own Arcader / Invader / Dual Character Select Screens, separate from Versus Mode.
  • All type of Game Modes are supported, such as MvC, Simul or KoF.
  • More than two teams fighting is there.
  • Challenger Arrivals are possible. (Such as Akuma coming out of nowhere)
  • Ability to select which fighter to fight against, aka choosing your Path is possible. (Ex: Street Fighter 3)
  • Different outcomes for match ends.

Howdy folks! We finally have Story Mode around! It’s a short video that showcase what’s possible!

This is mostly a major code - behind the scenes update where beings can live without relying on other ones. Such as a Fighter does not need a Team to exist anymore. This allows us to spawn stages, fighters, fighting scenes etc runtime in an empty space, allowing you to, well, create your own Story!

So here is the list for now:

1- Free Camera Movement
2- Spawn / Remove / Change Characters and Stages
3- Free Single Character Roaming
4- Showcase Visual Novel System
5- Trigger “Fighting Game System” at will

I believe these are enough to show what you can do.
