Looking good!
Cheers mate!
Hey Acilleon,
Paper2D dev here…I know how sometimes it’s hard to develop something interesting with this tool but when you do, you have so much satisfaction
Let me say your template is incredible, I think it’s an incentive for all those independent developers who use this powerful UE4 tool :o
I make you my best wishes for this project and the next year
Thank you for all your kind words Funa. I am sure we all play a part on this though. Paper2D is not hard. It’s just like a lil problematic girlfriend. Can be annoying sometimes, but still good to have around.
Best wishes your for own stuff and next year too! ;D
any updates yet boss
Have at thee, .
------------------------------------------ PROJECT: Unreal Fighter 2D ------------------------------------------
Current Update: 15.03.2017
Hello. We have Projectiles now! Enjoy the video! Nothing much to say as the video speaks for itself!
Take care.
every nice, i like it
I realized my first thread is really a mess so I cleared it up a lot.
Here are the latest updates!
Take care!
This is looking more and more like the true successor to MUGEN. Cannot wait, this is looking incredible.
One question - do you have any plans to implement the floor perspective effect that Street Fighter 2 employed? I only ask because without it, some floors with regular tile patterns can look kind of odd.
Hello here are the latest updates.
Here are the latest updates:
Cheers mate.
That perspective effect is already possible because the camera is perspective aswell. You just have to make the floor sprite laying on the ground instead of looking directly at camera, that’s it.
Ah I suspected that might be the case, good goooood so in converting an existing stage, if we wanted to utilise this effect we’d have to make a custom floor graphic, but it’s not compulsory I take it? We can just have a bog standard static floor if we want?
Nothing is compulsory. The feature of this Project that it has constant flow of options all around the places. If you want a 2D stage, you can have it. But if you want a 3D one, since we are always in 3D, nothing stops you from doing that either. ^^
Epic work!
Thanks ^-^
I hope this project is still going well for you,
Just wondering how you went about detecting inputs for combos, specials and supers?
Excited to see how this turns out, looks awesome.
It’s all blood and tears but thanks for the support.
I got a buffering system on that is kind of complicated to just tell. But when it is released, everyone will be able to see it. ^^
Hi man, are you planning to sell this asset on marketplace, as I really need a good fighting system…
@Achilleon I believe I asked about this sometime ago, But will you have a detailed way to switch from 2d character sprites to full 3d character models/animations.
My team lead just seen your template and is looking to switch over to Unreal from Unity/UFE. Anymore news of when you plan to release this cause this would really launch our game in the right direction to be a part of most mainstream fighting games.
Hopefully you will read this and get back to me.
Hello! Here are some updates!
Team System Progress
Input System Progress / Demonstration
I do plan to sell it yes, but it may take a while to develop my friend.
That is not possible. The system is strictly based on 2D at least on the animation side. 3D works unfortunately more complex on Unreal.
Ofcourse when it’s released, you can make a 3D of your own after a good amount of work, but I will not be helping on that. I do plan to make a 3D version of the template eventually, but not for a while.
Sad that this isn’t yet in marketplace. fighter asset would be nice
