Project gets corrupted when saved on a server

Hi there,

I have created an UE project that is saved on a network drive and now sometimes some assets are not loaded correctly.
For example:
I have adjusted the BP_MotionController from the VR Template. When I opend the project today, every static mesh component was empty and also some of the variables were changed. Now I need to rewire more or less the entire blueprint -_-

Is it a bad idea to work that way?

I have experienced such thing in previous version, but there it was not so bad. It just did not load some static meshes in the level, but the blueprints were not affected.
