Hello. Because I am new, I took my big game ideas and came up with easy solutions. I can say I have achieved them. I didn’t know I’d be making this game when I first opened Unreal… but I was so satisfied when it played like how I imagined. Just simpler.
If you can’t see the video, basically you need to hit the red sphere first to trigger the yellow targets off. I am using FirstPersonBP so it’s really easy.

Greetings @anon19501049 !
This is a great start! It’s very simplistic and straightforward. Will you be building on this project? Will you be adding any assets or textures?

Thank you. Yes I am hoping to build version 0.2 and 0.3 Each becoming more detailed. Mostly textures, mapping and logic.

I’m killing EF now because I only started learning Unreal in January 2021. That is not long enough to be fulfilling every idea I get in my head and bringing it to life. It is just impossible to do more than I understand.
Hello thenewkgb!
(What is “the old kgb”?) I’m sorry to learn that you are turning in the towel on Project EF. From what I have seen over the years, learning UE is not a cakewalk for anyone. Ask any developer here and they will tell you about all the trial and errors, all the hours spent self-learning, all the hours spent watching tutorials, all the time spent learning from others. It’s going to take time, diligence, and dedication. In time, you will understand more and more to bring your ideas to fruition!

Learn from others?!? Oh no. Did I throw the towel in for no reason? I didn’t have enough knowledge of Unreal OOP so the red sphere must be hit first before the target. I thought it was normal to make a tiny demo and move on.
the “old kgb” is my former self. KGB are my initials. thenewkgb is me striving for a greater life.
I better search in Answers about Reference to None runtime crash because that’s what was stopping me. Plus mapping skills.

If anyone is out there? [echo]
I had two projects on the go. CS and EF. EF stands for Egyptian Footballer, and pictured a land where a skilled warrior had to hit targets in a tournament to gain respect, by various means. By accident I started EF by naming the project, then started blocking out CS straightaway… so my EF_100 was actually CS_100.
I had a few poor decisions where I deleted my Unreal account and at a later date uninstalled UE4. It wasn’t pretty. I think game development is suited to some people, and I was not one to partake in it.
Anyway. I still question if GD is part of me, and I’m umm’ing and err’ing if I should install UE4 again (mostly for mobile support).
I guess EF isn’t dead. Just in limbo. Will it escape?
