my project works fine on my laptop (the one I started and developed my project with). But doesn’t workon my new PC. All blueprints and character models with high detailed materials will crash the eigine. But the same files works perfectly on my old laptop.
Been searching for a sulotion online for weeks now, still no progress.
I found the issue and a temporary sulotion for now.
It has something to do with caches that ue4 created for this project, which is located in the C-drive. So it works almost fine after I transferred them to my new pc.
However if the username of new pc doesn’t match the old one it will still have some problems for example you can’t build light for maps.
So somehow ue4 doesn’t change the path and/or create new caches for the project when move to a new pc. Maybe there is a way to do it manually. Does someone now how to ?
