Hi, we have been working on a UE project since around 4.7.1, always started via the launcher’s “Library” -> “My Projects” section. Now we upgraded to UE4.8 and converted our project as well. However, since that when we now start the launcher our project does not show up in the “My Projects” section anymore.
I have tried to restart the launcher, restart the machine, without luck. Then I tried to right-click on the project file (.uproject) and use “Switch Unreal Engine Version” and selecting 4.8, then starting the launcher again. But – still no project listed in my launcher library section.
I’m also having problems getting 4.8 projects to show up in the My Projects list.
This normally would not be an issue, except I have been frequently using the “clone project” feature that the My Projects list provides. I have a basic project template (with things setup for VR), and I clone that to start new experiments. I assume cloning is a little more involved than just copy and paste (probably some renaming of files/properties/directory listings/etc). So it’s a bit annoying not having that option at the moment.
I’ll make do until it’s fixed. But I wanted to chime in and let you know that you’re not the only one.
Just encountered the same issue. Converted my project from 4.7.6 on my main machine to 4.8, everything’s fine there. Checked the changes into SVN, updated the project on my laptop and now the project is missing there in my launcher. (I think it has gone missing after I removed the 4.7.6 engine). Tried the same as the posters before me, nothing helped.
