Checking in changes to Unreal Revision Control can sometimes take quite a while, it’d be nice if there was a progress bar or eta of some sorts so creators know how long to expect to wait.
Hello @EchoBuilds, thanks for your useful feedback. The URC team has received similar requests in the past and we’re investigating how we can accommodate this feature for the UEFN audience. Some patience required still :).
@EchoBuilds Progress bars are now available in 26.10.
Upon beginning the check in process, it still doesn’t show progress:
To repro, check in a 400mb project and you ll see this screen
Correct - that step is not part of the check in process itself and does not support showing progress information at this time.
@Wertandrew how long would you estimate you were seeing that “Updating file(s) Revision Control status” message before the check-in progress bar began? And was it only upon the first check-in of that 400mb project or equally long on every subsequent check-in with small changes to it as well?
That message should only be active quickly, but curious if something about your case is causing the process to take longer than expected.
It was iirc around 20 seconds or so, and yeah only the first time. When I took the picture though, I didnt know how long this would take
Thanks for the context @Wertandrew !
