Running the chance of sounding silly, here’s an idea. I’m mainly an artist so blueprint really would be my tool of choice for programming but in case of an inventory in game I was having some other ideas. Instead of invoking action script for mostly visual purposes I was thinking of programming the whole inventory in flash (management and even crafting) and sending back only the essential instructions back to udk.
For example, you need a fishing rod and have a stick and a string. Combine them using the inventory with actionscript and UDK only need to know that fishingRod = True;
Do you think this is feasable and if so does it have any big disadvantage against just doing the logic of that in blueprint?
