procedurally generated widget not working as expected

how do i load a widget style asset reference into a generated ui widget?

i’m aware i can add the structure and edit in the sidebar but that is not the way i want this to work.

also… why is text clipping? what else i need to feed the engine for it to work? the widget properly generates, but does not update the tex box sizes according to content. and… yes… i tick the blueprint for atleast one tick and force a layout pass where this should be handled.

ugh. ue ui class code is not top notch.
