Problem with smooth surfaces, the resulting mesh its bumpy and bad (example inside)

Hello guys, i have a problem that i hope has an easy solution. Im trying to scan a simple box, and while the alignment is good, the reconstruction mesh is really bad.

I have a proffesional set up, with 250 photos of 5 different angles, good lighting, enough quality on the photos, and the results are really bad. I have attached some screenshots for you to see the set up:

 

 

As you can see, the resulting mesh is not smooth like the real life object, and i have enough photos to get all the details. Even some of the words and designs on the box seems out of range and i dont know what to do more.

  • What can i do to improve the reconstruction?

-Is there any setting that i have to tweak to improve this?

  • The software has some problem with smooth surfaces?

I need to get a solution as soon as possible please, hope i can resolve this and began to scan a lot of more objects.

Photogrammetry in general has a big problem with smooth surfaces without pattern/texture/structure/detail and with solid coloured flat parts. One thing you can do in such cases is to shoot this model clean first and then dirty. Afterwards use the clean photographs for texturing and dirty for meshing. This could really improve the results when it comes to such models.
