Hello, I’m new to Unreal. Started out with 5.3 and I’ve Been trying to apply all kinds of glass materials to my models, but all them seem to turn black, or make the water material completely disappear when looking through 2 glass models.
I’m not sure to what I have to change in order to fix this. Welp.
Looking at translucent objects through other translucent objects can often be a problem.
See the ‘wont fix’ bug tracker here
Try turning off refraction on the nearer object. Or making some of the materials more simple?

Sadly, I didn’t do much tweaking, instead I used materials from sample projects. There is still a problem with one side being darker than the other but when looking through two glass materials it just fixes itself… the glass objects are not just planes and they don’t have flipped normals, so no idea to why it’s happening honestly. I’m tired at this point, but I’ll see what I can do about it later on.

Maybe you need to add Skyatmosphere and try to use lumen as reflection at the options.
