Problem with hit detection on destructible meshes and vehicles

I’m currently having a problem firing the on component hit event when a wheeled vehicle is colliding with a destructible mesh.

The vehicle is a possed pawn and when I hit the destructible mesh nothing happens.

It works if I use a collision box or just use the regular player character but not the sedan vehicle

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Has the destructible inside the BP got generate hit event enabled.
