Problem with FBX animations import.

So I made some FPS animations in blender, exported them as FBX (all with same settings), and when I try to import them into UE 5.5.1 some are importing perfectly fine, but with some I get this error:

“There was no data to import in the provided source data”.

Some things worth mentioning:

  • All animations are based on same idle pose.
  • Skeleton is UE5 manny.
  • I was doing that following infima games tutorial.
  • It seems there isn’t any connection between animations, that is - it seems that it is random that some import fine and some dont. For example reload animation is importing fine, and equip is not.
  • I tried re-exporting them from blender, but it did not work.

Hi. In case you never solved this or if someone else is looking for answer - I had a similar problem and solved this by checking “Import Only Animations” and choosing an appropriate skeleton.
