I have created an AI that always chases the player regardless of his location. However, the navigation grid works every once in a while, and in one case everything is fine and the AI works fine, and in the other case it just stands still with no errors. I thought that this is only a local problem and occurs only when working on the engine, but as it turned out this problem is also in the already built version of the game. It is important to note that the level is generated at the expense of actors and when the player enters the collision the next section is spawned and the previous one disappears.
