when attempted to retarget the animation of my maximo character i downloaded from the website, onto my other character, or even the mannequin, it would only animate the head. im guessing this has to do with the skeleton? any way to fix it? here is some media
I set both to humanoid rig in the retarget manager.
If you click on ‘show advanced options’ you can pick from a list. I had the same problem and once I changed my selection to skeleton it sorted the problem out. I hope this helps.

Maximo and Fuse Models should all work from Maximo Animations. As for the Head twitching I could never figure it out. and the Show Advance options right next to the Active Socket button (Check it) and it should bring up a list of Bones types every thing below the 2nd bone switch to Skeleton.

I’d like to see reference pose of your Mixamo skeleton. Because it very matters.
Sicne UE Mannequinn uses A pose, Mixamo’s skeleton’s T-Pose is usually having problem with Clavical degree ( which is look like flying bird ;; )
If’s Reference pose is not T-Pose, you must update your reference pose as T-Pose.
then you have to click a small check box in Skeleton tab ‘show advanced options’
then you can retargeting your joints from “Animation” to “Skeleton” except Root and Pelvis no matter what your’e using root motion.
I personally don’t recommend using Mixamo characters as it is.
Import UE mannequinne then bind a pose to UE mannequin it’s much better to keep using and updating for your future project.
