I’m on UE 5.0.3. Whenever I output something to 2D screen space while using my HMD (Oculus Quest 2 via Link) it brutally crashes my PC without recovery. I’ll have to hard reset my machine to get back control.
It can be a simple “stat fps” screen dump or any other print to 2D screenspace. It will make my PC crash after a few seconds (up to two minutes).
This makes debugging on the HMD pretty much impossible. The whole subject was mentioned (or is highly similiar) here before: Oculus Quest Crash after I call "Print String" node
Unfortunately that other thread is marked as “resolved”. Probably by mistake. It worries me that this heavy full-crash bug is around since Dec. 2020 without being addressed or fixed.
