why did Epic let this trough in the first place!
I can’t imagine the Epic crew doesn’t know UDS by know, seriously…
Just to advise I reported this yesterday as a violation of Epic’s Terms (ie a scam) and Epic closed my report yesterday stating that there was no violation of Epic’s terms. I appealed the decision and fully explained that the asset was a reupload of Kitbash3Ds asset and that this seller had previously used a different name (Pride Studios) to list this asset which was taken down by Epic, yet Epic still revoked my appeal!!
I literally reported a fraudulent asset and Epic sided with the fraudulent seller.
In the end I sent a courtesy email to the original asset creator Kitbash3D, who confirmed this was fraudulent use of their asset and that they would reach out to Epic via legal to report it.
Ultimately, if Epic do not take reports from end users seriously the marketplace will always be full of slop and copyright infringement.
