Hello everyone! Im going to be working on this new project for the next weeks! The idea is a small environment that is a classroom located in a school in the United States. The classroom belongs to the 3rd grade of elementary school and shows the wear and tear produced by continuous use during half of the school year. The daily deterioration can be observed, with various objects moved and left behind at the end of the school day.
This is the pitch of the idea with the references and blocking of the scene:
I hope you like the idea and how this project goes! I’ll keep updating this post.
Hello everyone, this week I started modeling the hero asset, which is gonna be the teacher’s desk, I think I finished the desk itself completely and now im adding various objects to complement the hero asset itself, so I modeled a coffee mug, a name plate, the drawer key with its keychain and the keyboard of the PC, heres the result so far:
This week I did a lot of progress in the assets, I modeled the PC tower, the monitor, the mouse, a stack of post its and added folders to the drawer of the desk and some various post its glued to the desk as well, with those blockings finished I proceeded to do the low poly and UVs of both the teacher’s desk and post it stack.
This week I completely finished the following assets: the teacher desk, the coffee mug, the name plate and the post it. The name plate I had to divide the materials as Unreal was making the whole asset translucent and I only wanted the Plate itself not the base of wood, thats why it has two textures with only one UDIM in the UV map.
Also I changed the model of the mouse to get it closer to the reference and made some adjustments to the PC, besides making the low poly and UVs of various assets that im gonna texture this coming week:
Hello, this week I focused completely on the assets of the classroom building itself, such as the walls, roof, floor, door and windows. I modeled and textured them completely and then I made a first lighting pass and changed a little some of the cameras to adjust better to the new placed assets!
Here are the assets and the tileable textures used:
