It just that there no automation to save the changes automatically like on old ue, that why even the smallest changes require a human review intervention.
But they are “most likely” working on some form of automation with ai. They will eventually add that feature in the future.
lack of response to such feedbacks shows that the “human repsone intervation” is applied in wrong places. It´s obvious that price changes by sellers do not need “kindergardening”, neither by any human at FAB nor by their AI. An information it will be fixed or changed some day would be enough to get at least a perspective.
While a dollar change may not seem enough to warrant a review, any price changes must undergo a product submission review. The reason is that the Epic Games Store is committed to facilitating fair and competitive pricing. Additionally, some regions have laws to protect users against price gouging and price manipulation.
We hope this provides you with some insight. We highly recommend checking out our Pricing Overview article if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Hi BriteJam thanks for replying, at least here we have it, a long term perspective. Updating prices and small stuff is and will be a pain in the axx when portfolios grow, but I adapt it is what it is.
It’s worse than that, if you just want to change the description of the asset, e.g. change some grammar mistakes or change the color of a sentence, you have to submit the whole asset for review.
Which was not necessary on the old marketplace and is really REALLY bad, because it shows to the buyers of that asset there is an “update”, which they expect to be content.
Due to not being native english speaker I practically update my descriptions on a daily basis, so I know exactly what you mean and update my stuff excessively. However, if I just want to reduce the price a tiny bit, the update undergoes the same process, sometimes a day or night, and sometimes, it even hangs in “pending cancellation” like one of my assets since 3 months now and nothing happens. But as mentioned… I just adapt it is what it is.
