Prevent continous update on editor?

Is there any chance to “pause” rendering meanwhile you are editing blueprints or so instead being rendering continously (and warming my gpu) ?

You can limit FPS in editor. How do I lock the Editor to 30fps? - Programming & Scripting - Unreal Engine Forums
Also can switch off Realtime update in upper left viewport menu.

You can hit the little arrow at the top left corner of the viewport, and disable the “Realtime” option. This will stop particles, vertex animations (grass, tree,…etc), animated materials, and will freeze the viewport. Things will move and back to live only in three cases:

  1. If you hit play, and started playing the game.
  2. If you enable the option again from the same menu.
  3. If you started rotating and moving around the viewport, it will back to live until you release the mouse buttons, and then it will be disabled again.
