Predict Projectile by Channel to detect a Near Miss

I’ve added the Predict Projectile by channel node and have it working fine where it collides with the character mesh (e.g. can detect bone collision) however i’ve added a number of components of box collisions around the character and no matter what I try the Predict node just does not detect the collision with the box collisions.

I’ve tried various trace channels and adjusted the collisions on the box and made the boxes really large but the Predict just does not seem to detect these.

Any ideas or if its an issue with the Predict node?

The boxes surround the mesh I wanted to detect near misses on the character and play a specific animation based on where the near miss occurred as I wanted the character to play an animation based on the predicted direction of the projectile instead of waiting until the projectile reaches it and then do something (as that is too late).
