Precision of ground control points

Hi, 

I would like to ask two questions. Question number one: if it’s possible to find somewhere protocol of precision of imported and measured ground control points. Ideal would be presision in [mm]. And question number two if is there some way how to split ground control points on Fix points (points that defines local coordinate system of created model) and check points (points that shows me real measured precision).   1. Yes, it is possible to export a report with component statistics including GCP precisions. There is a pre-defined template Selected component report. You can change the precision as well as exported parameters by changing the template. You can find the instruction in application Help - Reports.

  2. Yes, this is possible as well. Control points with type Ground control are considered during the alignment process and used for georeferencing. Control points with type Ground test can be used for quality and precision control.

And is it possible to set the precision with which where the points measured?

Currently, it is not possible to define prior GCP precision, you can only set weight for each ground control point. However, this is the weight with a comparison to the detected features in the alignment process not just a precision of the point. It is one way of saying “use this point and drop all natural points which do not agree”. Therefore, we recommend to keep the default value.

Hello i have another question. When i export Mesh to the xyz text format, the coordinates of points are in the exponential format (9.54211x102) but i need them in decimal (954.211). Program in which i want to import the xyz file then dont load the correct coordinates. Is there a possible way how to set, or change number format which program exports? Thank you for answer.

Hello I am student of Slovak Technical University and I am working on my final thesis. I would like to ask 2 more questions. 1.)what kind of algorithm is your program using while producing dense point Cloud (reconstruction/production). Is it multi view stereo ? 2.)what kind of transformation is your program using while transformating model from local to reference cooradinate system? I would like to use these information in my final thesis and it could really help me. Thanks for answer and have a nice day.
