Hi there,
in composure I want to use a pre-keyed footage as media plate.
How I can use the alpha channel in my png img sequence?
When I use it in composure it bring back it’s orginal background with no alpha
Any suggestion?
Thanks

I’m having the same issue here. Alpha channels do not work in my version of Unreal Engine 5.1, but they seem to work for this guy: How to Import Videos in Unreal Engine 5.1 - YouTube
Hey @vikolaz, definitely check out that video and comment thread. You might have to set up the MediaPlate blueprint like in this picture (taken from James Luke’s comment on that video): Imgur: The magic of the Internet
if it shows alpha in media player but not in the plate, composure is not forwarding the alpha band to the cg_element — wire the MediaTexture alpha into the layer input, or switch the plate material to translucent. verify the sequence itself is valid by playing it somewhere that handles alpha natively: i use alpha video player from fab Alpha Video Player - Transparent Video UMG Widget & UI Media Component (UE5) | Fab as a sanity check — drop in UMG widget handles png seq alpha out of the box with the right blend mode, if its good there its a composure layer wiring thing not the files
