I’m learning Odyssey, and it’s been so much fun, but I keep coming across an issue where my Undo/Redo is disabled.
When I go to Unreal’s Edit dropdown, both the Undo & Redo Buttons are greyed out and say, “Can’t undo while ‘change cell exposure’ is in progress” and another time while “Adding Cells” is in progress.
I noticed this happens when I simply create a new layer within a shot or adjust a cell’s exposure. I can draw, erase and use tools on my layer, but my undo and redo tools are greyed out. This seems like a bug (though it could be user error, haha), unless enacting these features puts you in an “editor state” that you have to exit, but that doesn’t seem to be the case from what I can tell with anything UI related. I was able to get the undo/redo working again once, but I can’t remember what I did to fix it, and have been unable to replicate it. I’ve been testing every option I could think of.
Do you have any ideas what this problem might be?
I also emailed you guys through your website for this same issue.
Also, do you know if your Discord no longer exists? All links on your website and the Unreal demo videos lead to an error page.
Hi Ken! Thank you for your message and sorry for the inconvenience!
I will report this bug to our dev team. In the meantime, you can “fix” it by opening the History panel (in Edit) and clear it by clicking on the tiny bin icon at the bottom left corner.
It will remove the entire history, but at least, it will “reset” the undo.
BTW, can you confirm you were using the version 3.8.56?
Thanks for asking and for your kind message! (sorry for the slow answer though, we’re more active on our Discord).
Any classical graphic tablet works fine with Odyssey, both on Mac and Windows. Regarding the iPad Pro, I must admit it’s something we never tried so I cannot tell. I believe you’ll be able to draw, but I don’t know how data like pressure or tilt will be passed along.
