Post-Utopia: Europe2999 - EAS Integration

I am contacting you because I am encountering an issue during the publishing process for my game, Post-Utopia: Europe 2999, on the Epic Games Store.

When I attempt to finalize the publication and set a release date, I receive a request for corrections regarding the integration and verification of my Epic Account Services (EAS) implementation.

Below is the full message I received from Epic:

*-- Since you are leveraging your Epic Account Services, you will need to integrate them into your Offer Page. To do this, go to Offers > Product Name > Artifact Settings, then scroll down to EAS Integration and select your product from the drop-down menu.

– Your Epic Account Services (EAS) Application is currently unverified, but has assigned clients. You will need to update your application and then resubmit it. Please review your EAS page Dev Portal (select your product > Epic Account Services). Once verified, ensure you attach it to your Offer page (Offer Details > Artifact Settings > EAS Integration, and select your product from the drop-down menu), and confirm that ‘Epic ID’ is set as your login type (this can be done at Store Settings > Product Configuration > Product Details).

Our Partner Support team is available to help with any questions you may have. Please reach out at https://eoshelp.epicgames.com/s/ and create a private discussion. Ensure you select ‘Epic Games Store’ as the topic, and reference your product (or organization) in the subject or body of the discussion.

However, I am encountering two difficulties:

  1. Regarding EAS verification

I do not fully understand why this verification is required for the publication of my game, given that the Epic Account Services integration is already functioning correctly and tests for unlocking achievements within the game have been successful.

Could you please explain why this additional verification is necessary in my case?

  1. Regarding domain verification

I do not currently own a website or a personal domain name. However, when configuring my EAS application, the portal requires me to provide a website and a privacy policy associated with a verified domain.

Am I therefore required to purchase a domain name and create a website in order to have my EAS application verified and publish my game on the Epic Games Store?

Is there an alternative procedure for independent developers who do not have a website?

Thank you in advance for your clarification and assistance.

Best regards,
