Post Trauma

Hello Unreal Devs!

I would like to present the project I have been working on since the first day of 2020: Post Trauma.

Unreal is a territory unknown to me, I have been working as a tech artist since 2013, but the engine I have used so far is Unity.

I’ve been wanting to make an Horror Game for a long time, I’m quite disappointed with the genre.
Most games I see are based on predictable jump scares and flashlights that barely light up and also have a short duration.

I would like to do something more focused on psychological terror and slowly building up tension and mainly focused on solving puzzles. (Escape Room Style)

So… I already know how to use Unity. Why Unreal?

  • I want to learn a new tool.
  • I want to make a game with AAA graphics, this is also possible with Unity, but the acquisition of Quixel is a big point in favor.
  • The type of game I want to do doesn’t need complex programming.

I will try to keep this post updated but you can also follow me on Twitter! @PostTraumaGame

Here are some screenshots:

Really simple scene. Playing with ligths and PP Volumes.

More tests with volumetric fog and foliage.
