Hi Guys
I would like to share my latest project with you. It’s a personal project I worked on for around one month.
Since I am really in love with post apocalyptic games and I was always interested to work on post-apocalyptic projects , I decided to create a semi large post-apocalyptic environment for myself and enjoy it.
I spent a month on designing, 3D modeling, texturing, creating the animation, Rendering and finally editing this video.
As I mentioned in the beginning of the video, The entire project was done with a single GTX 1650 Super (4GB) GPU and an Intel I7 2700k CPU thanks to Unreal Engine Lumen and Nanite Technologies (And also a bit of optimization in 3D modeling and texturing).
I used Maya for 3D modeling, Substance painter and PS for texturing a few dozens of 3D assets and creating decals that I created just for this project. (Screenshots are included in the bottom part of this page).
I used Unreal engine for creating the environment and Quixel Mega-scans amazing 3D assets, Textures and decals to make it look more realistic.
I created a few procedural sharers in unreal for creating things such as randomized broken glass and also randomized animated movements for some of the lights and fabrics in the scene. Also I created a new foliage creation method for creating realistic more realistic looking ivy on walls just for this project in unreal engine.
The video is a bit long but there’s a reason for that. The environment is so huge and I worked so much on the details so, it required a long video.
After the lunch of the FAB (Epics new website for uploading 3D assets) probably I will upload the assets I created for this project in there. Also, I don’t promise but in the near future I may release this environment as a playable first person or third person .exe file.
I hope you enjoy watching this video.
Like always C&C are most welcomed.
Cheers,
JVAD3D
