I’ve found that as a listen host, the host’s fps will drop by a fair amount for each player that joins. This doesn’t appear to happen if i launch a dedicated server on the host machine, then just have the host join from the game instance they have running.
There must be something funky about the way listen hosts are implemented.
Does anyone know how i can launch a background instance of a dedicated server while currently in the game (like maybe from a console command)?
