Possible to 'butcher' a skeletalmesh in unreal so a one mesh can be turned into a modular character?
Not really as far as I’m aware.
You almost always need to use a DCC to prep and create the mesh.
usually, stuff with procedural modular mesh cutting (shadow warrior) requires a lot of extra work if not a completely custom engine.
