This might just be my limited knowledge of the tool, but whenever I add a static mesh to my level the name that appears in the Scene Outliner window is not the same as the unique ID. If I hover over the item I get something like: “ID Name: SM_DoorFrame_5”, but the name in the Scene Outliner is SM_DoorFrame. If I rename SM_DoorFrame in the Scene Outliner window, the ID is now set to the new name correctly. Why is the ID and the name different? I could see them being different if the ID was in use, but since it is not it just seems like it could make things confusing down the road (especially if I am debugging and printing object information out).
