Possibility to stop the automatic Grass Map when touching the landscape

Is it possible to prevent the grass from automatically build (temporarily)?

I’m building a tool to generate massive procedural worlds and everything was very smooth until I added my material which contains a landscape. And the problem persists even if I disconnect the foliage inside my material.

Looking for same option. Every time I sculpt the landscape just a bit, it rebuilds all grass maps and freezes for a second.
