No matter what I do, when possessing between different pawns, they can’t move. Even ChatGPT couldn’t help with this issue.
-I tried first unposessing the controlled character, then possessing a new one.
-Tried destroying the unpossesed character.
-Tried removing the input mapping context, didn’t help
-Tried assigning completely different IMC to each character
-The new pawn can look around, movement and mouse clicks events fire
-Set movement input to walking

I’m only aware of a bug I reported time ago, and have received no feedback if it was fixed:
[UE5.2.1, Bug report] Controller::Possess broken if Pawn auto possess AI.
From your description it can be anything. Only the actual code can be debugged. Things that would help are the affected engine version and screenshots (or code blocks) of your setup.
So the pawn object receives the input? And are you using experimental plugins like Enhanced Input?
