I’m trying to get the theme of my game to loop endlessly. I have made the audio seamlessly loopable; the issue is that in every loop iteration, I hear a clear popping at the end of it. Enabling streaming fixed this for me, but only on Windows. Android still has the popping noise. If I preview the audio in the editor I can hear the pop there with streaming disabled. If I enable it, the audio preview has no pop. Anyone know how I can troubleshoot this? I’ve messed around with the compression/quality settings and creating Cues.
Listen to the audio file outside of Unreal in itunes or WMP. See if the pop is in the file itself or if it’s happening in Unreal.
Are they files you made or downloaded?
If it is in the file you can add short fades to the start and end of the .WAV
I know this is old, but I can’t solve it either. There’s a pop noise everytime the audio loops
Checked my looping music in AbletenLive and Audacity and Reaper. It’s definitely a perfect loop.
Checked every “looping” option I can find. In Metasound, in cue and in the wave asset. Seems like the pop sound came from the engine reloading the audio file. Is there any method I can prevent this?
I came here to address this same issue. Did it ever get solved? I use Logic to create my loops and they play seamlessly there. But when exported into Unreal they then have a pop.
