Well, Gear VR works with S6/S6 edge/S6 Edge+/Note5 and S7 (which isn’t out yet afaik, but available for preorders). S6 and S7 (for NA and China at least) have different SoCs.
But yes, it would be nice to know how it performs on your 6p in VR rendering
