Hey everyone,
If you stream your Unreal Engine work on Twitch, Kick, or YouTube, I wanted to share a tool I’ve been building that might fit into your setup.
It’s called Poltergeist, it is a browser-based overlay dashboard that runs entirely in your browser and connects to OBS as a standard Browser Source. No software to install, no plugins, no complicated config.
A few features that might be relevant for devlog or gamedev streams:
| Feature | What it does for devstreamers |
|---|---|
| Keyframe animation timeline | Animate any overlay element (position, opacity, scale, rotation, filters) without After Effects or external software |
| Auto-scheduler | Pair with animation keyframes to loop any element’s animated entrance and exit on a timer – good for rotating sponsor logos or social reminders during long sessions without touching anything |
| Staging zone | Prep your next overlay layout below the live viewport, then push it live or swap in one click – useful for switching between editor and gameplay scenes |
| Drawing tools | Freehand pen directly on the canvas, visible on stream – handy for annotating blueprint graphs or scene layouts to viewers |
| Tally counter / to-do list / prize wheel | Built-in interactive elements for viewer polls, challenges, or community playtesting sessions |
| Combined Twitch + Kick chat | Single overlay element that pulls from both platforms simultaneously if you simulcast |
| Moderator access | Grant mods control over the dashboard so they can manage overlays remotely |
Here is how to add a prize wheel to OBS in 40 seconds:
Happy to answer questions if anyone is curious about the OBS setup or how it fits into a typical devstream workflow.
