Pocket Items have been in Battle Royale (and similar modes) for multiple months now. It would be awesome to see these as an option in Creative and UEFN!
Device Options:
- Item: [add item] - The item used for the Pocket Item slot
- Maximum Uses: [number] - How many uses this Pocket Item can have at a time before recharging. If the Pocket Item happens to be a weapon, this is how much ammo it will have.
- Recharge Uses: Yes / Manual Only / No - Can uses recharge after the Pocket Item is used? Yes means uses can recharge after a set time, or with Functions. Manual Only means only with Functions do uses recharge, not automatically. No means uses do not recharge
- Recharge Time: [number] - The amount of time it takes to recharge a use. Only works when Recharge Uses is enabled
- When To Recharge: After Use / After Empty / After Reload - Changes whether or not uses only start to recharge after an individual use is activated, waits until there are no uses left, or the player presses the Reload button (if the item is a weapon). Only Works when Recharge Uses is set to Yes.
- Use Cooldown Time: [number] - The amount of time it takes after usage before you can use again. Not to be confused with Recharge Time.
- Set Pocket Item On Game Start: True / False - Decides whether or not the Pocket Item is usable from the beginning of the game.
Functions:
- Enable Pocket Item - Enables this Pocket Item for the instigator. Replaces any other Pocket Item that may be enabled with another device.
- Clear Pocket item - Clears any Pocket Items for the instigator
- Enable For All - Enables this Pocket Item for all players. Replaces any other Pocket Item that may be enabled with another device.
- Clear For All - Clears any Pocket Item for all players
- Recharge Use - Recharges a use of the Pocket Item for the instigator
- Deplete Use - Removes a use of the Pocket Item for the instigator
Events:
- Pocket Item Used
- Player Swaps to Pocket Item
- Player Swaps from Pocket Item
Some extra changes might need to be made to make this compatible for maps with builds enabled, and also more functions and events, but I do think this concept is a great starting point! Thanks for reading, I hope this gets added one day ![]()
