I have another thought: I didn’t properly make generic that script, I think. I believe that most of the bindings are set up to only work with continuous controls. If you are using sliders or fixed knobs on your MIDI board you may need to edit the Blueprint and add “Fixed Controller” to the options for each binding that is right now only set to “Continuous Controller”
But also this should be obvious in your video
Note On/Off to Note On/Off And Knobs to Knobs from BluePrint…
ok cool. That’s super helpful. It looks like your board has Fixed Controllers (the knobs stop turning at some point) and not Continuous Controllers. If you edit the Blueprint so that the binding array says “Fixed Controller” instead of “Continuous Controller” and then re-bind the Blueprint it “should” work.
Otherwise, I will send you a video in a couple hours.
Hello friend, This is it … I edited the blueprint and put controls fixed … I was using the Knobs range from 0 to 127 … it worked … Now I will study more your BP could try to develop some of BP movement …
Let me know when you can make it work in simulator mode …
Thanks for all!
Hooray! Glad we could figure it out
The plugin works in UE 4.10 with win 10. Still only in editor though. Any plans on getting it up and running for deployed projects as well?
Hey,
So I’m not at Epic anymore but I’m working now at Oculus Story Studio and we are getting this plugin up and running again. I’ve made a few fixes on our internal branch and we intend to push it back to Epic once it’s in a much happier state.
In theory it does actually work with deployed projects in that you can control using the “Remote Connection Manager” from an editor instance to a remote deployed instance. I haven’t tested that recently, however, but I hope it is not a huge pain to get up and running again
