Hi all, I’ve been looking for information on how to make cutscenes for abilities (like here One Piece World Seeker - All Characters Special & Ultimate Attacks (4k 60fps) - YouTube 0:07) for a very long time. Can someone tell me step by step how to do it so I can use it anywhere on the map.
So if the cutscene is like a video, you could create a widget, add that to the viewport, play the video in the widget and then remove the widget from the viewport when the video completes.
Hey there @blAddddDe! So most of those attacks are just sequences! Step by step will be a bit tough to find because the combat system for every game is different. The high level idea here would be to start a sequence when you fire the event, then when the sequence is over (or with events in the sequence) send your damage events and effects. I’ll link some resources below!

I just CANT figure out how to make it so that I can change cameras anywhere and get similar results.
It’s mostly just hard getting good camera work and having the events fire when you need them to. Worst case scenario you technically could do it with montages, just changing the camera position in relation, and just handle them like other attacks but it’s tough.
Remember that these studios are working with entire professional art teams, so it’ll take some perseverance and time to get used to putting these together.
I understand that it is difficult. But in the meantime, I need to understand how to change the cameras correctly (preferably shown on video).
