You can now invite people to playtest your game during development without the need to publish your island!
Team owners and administrators can now create playtest groups for their projects in the new playtest tab of their project pages. This will generate a private island code for a specific version of your project and provide you with a link that you can share with testers that enables them to join the group and access the private island code.
Up to 50 playtesters are able to join each playtest group and they will be unable to edit islands. Playtesters must be 18 years or older to join a playtest group.
What would really improve my experience with discover / releasing is if the actual release date for discover was tied to the listing, rather than the first unlisted release. I’ve tried ‘soft releases’ of two islands where I spent a lot of time QA’ing them while unlisted, and this ended up destroying my chances of getting into Discover.
It makes so little sense to me that this happens I forgot about it.
Having some issues setting up playtests. Receiving the below error when clicking the playtest tab. Seems to indicate I need to do an age verification however I can’t find where this would be
Can someone explain to me why a person has to be 18 to playtest? I have a 15 yr old son and a 17 yr old nephew who have been playing Fortnite since the beginning and they can’t test my map at all. I’ve tried giving them the private code and it says they it’s not allowed. Please tell me this is an issue on my end?
