players not spawning correctly on game start/team rotation

i’m having an issue that i’ve been trying to fix on my island since about april 2023 and i genuinely cannot figure out for the life of me what is going on

i’ve made a hide and seek map, where team 1 are hiders, who should spawn in the sky, and team 2 are seekers, and spawn on a spawn pad.

team 2 spawn just fine on the pads, but when a round begins, whether it’s game start or round rotation, some players on team 1 will spawn in the sky like intended, but some (mostly the ones who survived in the previous round) will spawn wherever the last round ended. i have it set up to grant loot through a mutator zone you’re meant to skydive through, so the players who get this issue can’t get loot for the next round.

anyone know what could be going on?

What method are you using to spawn team 1 in the sky ?

i’m using team settings & inventory device in the creative menu, with both team 1 location and the overall island spawn location is set to sky

hmm sounds buggy… somethings going on.
Does everyone have a spawnpad for pregame phase ?

How about some workaround ideas ?

  • Put a bunch of Team 1 Spawnpads in the sky
  • Teleport players on game/round start to a group of sky teleporters

there are spawn pads for a pregame intermission room that everyone does spawn on, but they’re set to enable on “create only” if that helps

i could try this workaround, i tried to set spawn pads up in a box with rifts below a destructable floor that explodes on spawn, but for some reason when i tested this i spawned under the map in the centre swimming, not on the pads. i really don’t understand what’s going on
