Player take damage underwater?

Hi , so I can have the player take damage when he overlaps the water volume box, , but it happens as soon as his feet or any other part of him touches the water box . I am hoping to set it up so when his head goes under he starts to take damage. The player has a head hitbox , so I set a component overlap event for the head hitbox on the character and cast to the water bp and apply damage , but nothing happening. any help? thanks

Could you show us a screenshot of your Blueprint?

I managed to wing this. I had a timer box that displayed the timer and did the damage , so I just transferred all that logic right into the water volume box. thanx . The water volume had a surface overlap box , so I could set that to about the level of his head, then apply the overlap logic to that box.
