set the two spawns to be enabled in pre-game and gameplay only resepctively.
Place a green tile under the pre-game spawn
Place a red tile under the gameplay spawn.
Add another spawn, set it to be enabled on create only, and place a blue tile underneath
As a result after clicking launch session, I enter edit mode and I am standing on the red tile (gameplay only spawn). And when I start the game I am on the green tile (the pre-game spawn). And the create only spawn is never used at all.
Launch Sessions don’t test pregame phase, yet the island start is usually at the pregame spawnpads, so the game starts on them, which then requires a respawn to get to the gameplay spawnpads.
I use a bit of priority group with enabled during always for pregame and game, although I’ve had a situation whre the priority breaks down after using too many priority groups
Can you give any specifics on what priorities need to be set? Is the larger number given to pre-game?
I found that if I invert the expected values it works correctly, except for people who spawn mid-game.
i.e. if I make the pre-game lobby spawns to be gameplay only, and the in-game spawns to be enabled as ‘pre-game only’. Then, indeed, people are properly in the pre-game lobby, and then spawn in-game in the map. However, people who spawn mid-game end up in the lobby.
I guess I will have to monkey about with setting enabled to always and adjusting priorities.
With SpawnPad priorities, the lower the better (Opposite to volumes).
Yeah it makes it a bit ??
I have used Priority 2 on Pregame with Island Start on and Priority 1 on Gameplay Spawns with Island start off and had them Enabled Always,
This works alright but the Use as Island Start is a bit of a fly in the ointment, Joining Players will always spawn at Island Start, until they die or manually respawn.
So I just stuck a teleport to game area.
Another idea may be a damage volume that kills any lobby spawners, forcing them to the higher priority spawn.
Another factor to add in the tinkering is using class or team specific pads.
