I’m extremely new to Unreal and working on importing characters and animation into the engine. When I go to the play in the active level editor, the default camera can be moved, but one I click a mouse button to move it, it acts like the mouse button is permanent and I lose ability to release the camera. Also, how do I assign a new position to the camera?
When you press play, you activate the game in the viewport, if you click anywhere in the ‘game area’ you enter the game and begin controlling the character or camera.
To exit the game area press Shift + F1 to ‘release your mouse’ and then up next to the play button you’ll find “Eject”, you’ll be able to select and interact with ingame objects while the game is running, You can even open other windows and view blueprints as they run in real time. but your manipulation will be limited until you stop the game.
