Play From Here plays from PlayerStart?

Hello Epic,

Well I think I have a bug : when I right click somewhere and hit “play from here” the editor plays from my PlayerStart instead. Am I doing something wrong ?

Hi B4LTIC_[PJKZ] -

If you are attempting to “Play from Here” and intersecting with a collision model in your level, it will default to the player start. So have you tired in multiple spots in your level and at multiple heights?

Let me know -

Hi,
I have a similar problem, as soon as I add a playerstart to my level the ‘Play from here’ becomes redundant - it always starts from the player start location. This is a bit of a pain?

Cheers.

I am having the same problem, has anyone found a solution for that?

Did we ever find a solution? Same issue!

Hello -

Can you give me a brief rundown of your level setup? Do you have a streaming level situation or Large Landscape via World Browser, Is it a multiplayer game where a dedicated server is required? Do you have level logic that moves the character or a cinematic which plays on level load?

Thank You

Eric Ketchum

In World Outliner select FirstPersonCharacter, in Details pane, under Pawn, try to select Disabled for Auto Possess Player. That did the trick for me. But now when you click Play (Not Play From Here) as the game starts the character falls down to infinity from the centre of the map.
